How to clean curtains?

1. How to wash curtains


1. In the face of the giant curtain, how should you wash it if you don't need a washing machine? Daily cleaning can be done with a vacuum cleaner, a garment steamer, etc. Of course, if it's too dirty, you can't avoid washing it.


2. When washing, you can soak it with laundry detergent first (note that the curtains that cannot be put into the washing machine must use neutral laundry detergent), and then take it out and rub the local dirt.


3. In other places, you can put it on the ground and step on it with your feet, or you can buy a laundry stick and tap it against the curtains - the curtains are too big, and it is too tiring to rub the whole by hand.


4. The window lintels and curtains (especially those with lace) should be soaked with clean water, then washed with warm water with soda, half a bucket of water mixed with 10 grams of soda, and then washed twice with warm detergent water or soapy water. Gently rub when washing, and finally rinse with water. When drying, place on a clean table to dry, or on a frame to dry. When drying, the laundry needs to be sorted out, positioned with thumbtacks, and finally ironed.


5. Use a soft bristle brush to gently wipe the drawstring of the curtain. If the curtains are dirty, you can use a rag dipped in some warm water-dissolved detergent, or wipe with a little ammonia solution. Some parts are glued together. Be careful not to get water in these places. Some higher-grade finished curtains can be waterproof, so you don't need to be careful with water.


2. Precautions for washing curtains



1. If you want to be clean, wash the curtains twice a year! Curtains with long fluff are recommended to be cleaned twice a year, and ordinary cotton curtains are recommended to be cleaned once a year. Do not dry it directly in the washing machine after cleaning, please simply dehydrate it. When it does not drip, take it out and hang it up and let it dry naturally. After cleaning, such curtains will still have the original texture, original color and original size.


2. For gauze cleaning, do not throw it directly into the washing machine for cleaning. After tying it with the "cleaning mesh bag for curtains", put it in the washing machine and wash it with mild laundry detergent. Are the curtains washed by hand? Hand washing will also cause the yarn curtain line to be pulled.

4. If there is a water wave curtain head or an independent curtain head, do not throw it directly into the washing machine for cleaning. 5. Curtains with long piles such as cut velvet, velvet, Italian velvet, as well as embroidered curtains, pure cotton curtains, and some imported high-end complex crafts and fabrics, please do not throw them directly into your own washing machine for cleaning , Please pack it and send it to a professional dry cleaner for cleaning.


6. Soaking is twice the result with half the effort. The detergent should be selected correctly. Before the formal washing, it is recommended that you soak the curtains in the bathtub for a period of time. There are also many tips in this process: the soaking time is generally 15 minutes to 60 minutes according to the material and thickness of the curtains.
