Clean the fireplace thoroughly
More and more families have used fireplaces. The advantages of fireplaces are numerous. However, cleaning and maintenance is a problem. Only by cleaning and maintaining the fireplaces on schedule can the safe and efficient use of fires be ensured :
1. After the fireplace is completely cooled down, spray special glass cleaner or soapy water on the inside of the glass, and wipe it with a soft cloth or paper towel. Clean the glass thoroughly with clean water. Finally, wipe the glass thoroughly with a dry cloth.
2. It can also be dipped in a little stove ash and then wiped. Furnace ash is a very soft wiper with strong decontamination ability and will not scratch the glass. Clean the glass thoroughly with clean water. Finally, wipe the glass thoroughly with a dry cloth.
3. The fire burns. Most of the black or dark attachments on the glass are left because the wood is not fully burned. The burning of the fire not only keeps the glass clean and transparent for a long time, but also helps to keep the chimney clean and dry.
4. If there are stubborn attachments, use a scraper to remove them, but be careful to scratch the glass.
In daily use of the fireplace, try to place the firewood at the back of the furnace and keep the firewood away from the door glass to prevent the firewood from collapsing during the burning process and contacting the door glass, leaving smoke trails at the contact points.
Furnace cleaning
1. Wait for the fireplace to cool down completely (at least 2 hours after the last charcoal goes out);
2. Put a piece of cloth or cardboard on the stove top to catch the ash, and it can protect the stove top from being scratched;
3. Open the door of the fireplace and use a shovel to put the ashes in a special metal bucket, which must have a tight lid. The covered bucket should be placed on a non-combustible ground, away from combustible materials, and wait for the final disposal; (generally, wood stoves have an ash collection box installed at the bottom of it, and the ash collection box can be pulled out to facilitate the dumping of the ash)
4. If the ash is buried in the soil or scattered on the spot, the ash should be completely cooled in a covered container before proceeding.
5. After confirming that the ash is completely extinguished, a special vacuum cleaner can be used to clean the remaining ash in the furnace.
Note: Disposing of the ashes indiscriminately may cause a fire. Pour the hot ash into a cardboard box, dump it in the backyard or store it in the garage, which is a fire hazard. The ashes that appear to be extinguished on the surface may contain ashes that have not been completely extinguished, and they may reignite when encountering flammable materials.
